The best way to see Misty Ridge Animal Resort and Boarding Kennel is by visiting. We pride ourselves with our cleanliness and the excellent care provided our 'Guests'. No appointment is necessary for kennel visits. We ask that you visit during office hours and that you not notify us of your intended visit. This way, you cannot assume that we prepared for your visit. Drop in, see us at our worst. On the other hand, should you wish to see our German Shepherds, either puppies or adult dogs, be aware that Joyce is particular. She insists that she, and she alone, introduce her dogs and puppies to you. Joyce is very proud of her dogs and puppies, consequently, very rarely does she refuse an appointment. Because many people are interested, and because Joyce wishes to give individual attention to each customer, appointments are necessary to visit with the German Shepherd puppies and adults.
From Washington, DC Follow 270 North, towards Frederick. Take the Damascus Exit (look for Father Hurley Boulevard). You will be on Maryland Route 27, North. Follow route 27 through Damascus and Mt. Airy. Eight miles north of Mt. Airy you will enter Taylorsville. At the traffic light turn left onto Route 26. Proceed to the first intersection, and turn left onto Franklinville Road. At stop sign, turn right (that's Old Liberty Road, but years ago someone stole the sign). Misty Ridge is the second driveway on left. Look for our sign.
From Baltimore, MD Take Interstate 70 West. Exit I-70 on Exit 68, Damascus - Mt. Airy. Follow to Route 27 north. Proceed to Taylorsville and turn left onto Route 26 at the traffic light. Go to the first intersection and turn left onto Franklinville Road. At stop sign, turn right (that's Old Liberty Road, but someone stole the sign). Misty Ridge is the second driveway on left. You'll see our sign.
From Frederick, MD Take route 26 east. Route 26 is off of Route 15. Follow route 26 into Carroll County. Once past A&D Used Cars, take the first right on your right on to Franklinville Road. At the stop Sign turn right and proceed as above.
